God's bow is not the bow of war, but the rainbow that connects heaven and earth. He always appears when the earth has become fertile and heavy from the rain. It can now grow and sprout from the earth. This happens reliably, year after year. You can rely on God. This is what Noah found out after the great flood. This is how we humans experience it to this day. The rainbow is mentioned not only on the first but also on the last pages of the Bible. Christ enthroned on the rainbow. It's an image. It shows us the standard by which our human lives are measured: could God and man really rely on us?

Es zeigt uns den Maßstab, an dem unser menschliches Leben gemessen wird: Konnten sich Gott und die Menschen wirklich auf uns verlassen?
